Wesley Sherer, PE, CxA, LEED GA, and Principal at HHB Engineers, was elected to serve as the Vice Chair on the USGBC Alabama state chapter Market Leadership Advisory Board (MLAB). The Alabama Chapter recently integrated under the umbrella of the national organization, and the MLAB is the new name for what was formerly the state chapter board of directors. Wesley stated, “I am excited about the opportunity to serve the USGBC Alabama Chapter in a leadership role and help guide the Chapter through this recent transition. Great things are happening with sustainable construction in the state of Alabama, and I’m glad that I can be involved in some small way.”
Mr. Sherer has served on the Alabama Chapter Board of Directors since May of 2013. He is currently serving his third term on the Board, which expires at the end of 2017. He has also been heavily involved with the Central Alabama Branch for the past several years. He served as branch Vice Chair from 2011-2012, and served as the branch Chair for three years from 2013-2015. He is planning on serving on the Central Branch Leadership Group in 2016 as well.
