Allied Health Building
Scope: This facility is a new 26,000 s.f. single story multi-use building housing medical training classrooms, teaching laboratories, offices, etc. It is fully protected with an automatic fire suppression sprinkler system.
Due to the high ventilation loads required by both high occupancy loads as well as three chemical fume exhaust hoods, the heating, ventilating and air conditioning system was designed to minimize the ventilation loads, using demand ventilation schemes. To reduce ventilation load, energy consumption the HVAC system was designed using occupancy sensors for demand ventilation, variable supply and exhaust, hood interlocks, active humidity controls, and sophisticated control strategies.
Total Project Cost: $3.9 million
