HHB Engineers (HHB) served as the Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design consultants, including Construction Period Services, for the new Dothan / Houston County E-911 Facility located in Dothan, AL. The building is approximately 17,500 sf and was designed for 24/7 operation and as a hardened structure to withstand impacts from severe weather so that the building could remain operational during emergencies. HVAC systems were designed with redundancy in mission-critical areas, such as the Dispatch Area, Data/Server Room, and Electrical Room. Outdoor HVAC equipment was located in a protected mechanical yard. A pre-action fire suppression system was designed for the Dispatch Area, and a clean agent suppression system was designed for the Data/Server Room.
The total cost of construction for this project was $4,650,000.
PH&J Architects are the Prime AE for the project.
