Historic Buick Building Renovation and Fit-out

HHB Engineers served as the Mechanical Engineers for the renovaiton and interior fit-up of the historic Buick Building near downtown Mobile, AL on St. Louis Street.  The 40,000 SF building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was purchased by Rogers and Willard Construction. to house their office and to lease the remaining two story structure.   The building has been vacant for about 10 years.

HHB performed energy modeling and analysis of various sustainable options for the renovation project.  The project is partially funded with the AlabamaSAVES program in part due to the higher than code efficiency HVAC system and building envelope upgrades.

The building was completed renovated with the HVAC and plumbing systems.

The first phase of construction was completed in 2015, with the last tenant fit-up project expected to be completed in 2016.
