HVAC Replacement State Capitol Building
HHB Engineers is currently serving as Prime AE for the $6.8 million dollar project to replace 43 air handling units in this 1850’s era historic structure. The existing units were installed during a 1985 three-year long major renovation that added an additional 8 units while the attic was opened to the 3rd floor. The 1985 renovation/addition resulted in limiting the access to equipment for replacement requiring custom equipment to be fitted into the tight access spaces. The current project includes complex phasing for multiple years to replace and update the equipment with continued occupancy for the duration of the project.
