The building includes multiple laboratory classrooms fitted with 11 state of the art fume hoods, 2 kitchen exhaust hoods, demand ventilation controls, occupancy sensing technology, variable volume supply/exhaust tracking control, humidity control, executive offices, 100-seat tiered auditorium, computer labs, and a full service dining facility able to seat 300.
Special features include exhaust air-to-ventilation air heat recovery, chiller desuperheater-to-hot water heat recovery, laboratory pressure maintenance controls, and chilled water VAV.
The facility is fully protected with a fire suppression sprinkler system.
HHB Engineers, P.C. served as the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering consultants and was responsible for all aspects of the new and upgrade of existing Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) system electrical systems, fire detection & alarm systems, plumbing and fire protection systems.
