New Sigma Chi Fraternity House
HHB Engineers served as the Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection engineering consultants for the new fraternity house for Sigma Chi on the University of Alabama. The new fraternity house is 26,500 square feet, located on University Boulevard.
The building is heated and cooled with 46 tons of high efficiency Mitsubishi City-Multi variable refrigerant flow equipment with heat recovery, as well as 11.5 tons of conventional DX heat pumps. Energy recovery ventilators provide outside air to the building. The project also included a commercial kitchen with exhaust hood.
