Scope: HVAC Replacement and addition of a fire sprinkler system to the historic two-story building 119, Brett Hall (VIP Suites), built in 1933. The original design was completed in 2009, and revised in 2015. The building consists of hotel-like suites throughout the first and 2nd floor, with laundry and mechanical spaces in the basement. Additional mechanical equipment is located in the attic. The existing 2-pipe fan coil system was replaced with a 4-pipe system with new dedicated outdoor air system, new air cooled chillers (to serve the surrounding buildings in addition to Bldg 119), new high efficiency natural gas boilers. A fire protection sprinkler system was also added to the building. Task was to modify the interior and exterior as little as possible.
