New plumbing systems will be installed throughout.
The Historic Prattville Redevelopment Authority bought the entire historic Gin property in December of 2014. The site covers about 40 acres, has five historic masonry buildings, the earliest dating back to 1848. The mill was built by Daniel Pratt, the town’s founder. The acreage includes the mill site and the mill pond, and the 1960s era Continental Eagle office building. The office building is on the site of Daniel Pratt’s former home.
