HHB Engineers were the mechanical consulting engineers with Davis Architects on the $20M Renovation to Mal Moore Athletic Facility and Sports Science addition, completed in the summer of 2020. The Sports Science Center is a 14,000 SF addition is a new state-of-the-art facility for Alabama Football, with dedicated spaces for rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, recovery, sensory deprivation, mental and behavioral health, assessment, virtual reality, and cryotherapy. The renovation portion of the project to the Mal Moore Athletic Facility included entry lobby upgrade, as well as the football team locker room, training room, and equipment room were completely redesigned. The Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility is the central hub of Alabama Athletics as it houses athletics administration, football operations, the Athletics Dining Facility, the Alabama Strength and Conditioning Complex, training room, equipment room, and the Hall of Champions.
